The American Red Cross is continuing to provide aid to countless people impacted by fires this winter.

Tuesday alone, volunteers from the CNY and Finger Lakes Chapters responding to three fires, providing assistance to 35 people in Fulton, Liverpool and Elmira Heights.

This follows an even busier weekend for the CNY and Western New York Chapters -- when volunteers responded to 17 fires, helping 89 people.

The Red Cross is asking everyone to help "Sound the Alarm." They're working with fire departments and community groups to install free smoke alarms.

And, you can help out by making a donation to Red Cross Disaster Relief. For more information on how to donate or the Sound the Alarm Campaign, visit soundthealarm.org/wcny,  the Red Cross website, call 1-800-REDCROSS, or text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
