NEW YORK -- Hulu's numbers are skyrocketing.

The streaming service has announced it has grown to more than 17 million subscribers.

It is an increase of more than 5 million subscribers from last May. Viewing numbers are also up, now at 54 million.

One reason for the growth is "The Handmaid's Tale." This was the network's most-watched drama of 2017, and it won two awards at the Golden Globes last weekend.
