SAN ANTONIO- Many families around San Antonio are celebrating Dia de Reyes or Three Kings Day, Saturday.

A tradition in Mexico, the Christian holiday celebrates the three kings who bring gifts to the Christ child. Part of the celebration includes a sweet bread called Rosca de Reyes. Similar to a Mardi Gras King Cake, a plastic baby is hidden inside the pastry ring. The toy represents the Christ child. Whoever eats the slice containing the baby must host a party on Feb. 2 to give thanks for the new year ahead.

Westside bakery Panifico Bake shop was busy Saturday as bakers worked to fill more than 200 orders.

According to Panifico's website, the bread has a light citrus taste and is adorned in candied fruit, sugar paste and sanding sugar.
