NEW YORK - The Trump Soho hotel is officially checked out.

The Preferred Hotel Group says the building was rebranded "The Dominick" at 12 a.m. Thursday as part of the brand's Legend collection.

All signs bearing the Trump name have since been taken down.

Employees were reportedly notified of the change Wednesday and told no layoffs are expected.

The Trump Organization opened the building 10 years ago.

But it had a hard time drumming up business after Trump became president.

NBA players were among those who refused to stay at the hotel.

A buyout deal was reached last month that allows the group to cut ties from the troubled property.
