Fordham University rescinds two awards given to veteran newscaster Charlie Rose.

Back in 2008, Rose received an honorary doctorate degree from the school.

The university's radio station is also rescinded another award from two years ago.

The disgraced journalist was fired from CBS and PBS on November 21 after a number of women accused him of sexual harassment.

In a statement, the university says quote, "Though Mr. Rose is among the premier broadcast journalists in the United States, the revelation in November that eight women have credibly accused him of unwanted sexual advances...

...and harassment from the 1990s to 2011 render him an inappropriate recipient of Fordham honors."

Rose apologized for his behavior after his firing, but says he does not believe all the claims are accurate.
