The Nets are helping deliver a little NBA flavor to some basketball courts in Boerum Hill.

The parks department, Barcleys Center and elected officials cut the ribbon to officially open the new basketball courts at Nicholas Naquan Heyward Jr. Park on Friday.

The two courts have been repaved, painted and color sealed and are now accessible to people with disabilities.

This is the first major renovation to the courts in more than a quarter century.

Nicholas Heyward, Sr. says his son would be proud of the new facility, adding "it's a fitting tribute to my son and it's also...I also look at it as a very, very tribute to all of the youth of this community."

The park was renamed in 2001 to honor Nicholas Naquan Heyward Jr., who was shot and killed by a police officer back in 1994.
