Masahiro Tanaka will start on the mound Friday night for the New York Yankees in Game 1 of the American League Championship Series.

He will be followed by Luis Severino, CC Sabathia, and Sonny Gray.

The team will face the Astros after beating the Indians in Cleveland Wednesday.

Houston is putting up pitchers Dallas Keuchel and Justin Verlander for the first two games.

Both are former Cy Young winners.

The Astros advanced by beating the Red Sox in four games.

First pitch is set for 8 p.m. in Houston.

Game two is Saturday at 4 p.m.

The series then shifts to the Bronx for the next three games, starting Monday.

Even a diehard Red Sox fan like Mayor Bill de Blasio has to admit, the Yanks can play a good ballgame.

In a tweet Thursday night, the mayor said, "As a true baseball fan I will state the truth: the @Yankees are a damn good team! I tip my cap and humbly wish them luck in the #Chasefor28."

Though born in the city, Mayor de Blasio was raised in Massachusetts and supports Boston.

He has yet to see the Bombers play at Yankee Stadium, though he did once throw out the first pitch for a Mets game at Citi Field.
