Three people were injured late Sunday night following a building facade collapse in the Bronx.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. Sunday outside a store near the corner of 149th Street and 3rd Avenue in Mott Haven.

Three people were hurt by the falling debris, one critically.

Sources say decorative masonry fell from the top of the six-story building onto the sidewalk below, and that the building's owner has been issued a violation.

It's still not clear what caused the collapse, but a business leader in the area says construction was in progress at the site.

Due to the scene above, southbound 2 and 5 trains were traveling at reduced speeds at 3 Av-149 St.

The Department of Buildings is investigating.
