A homeless man was arrested and charged Saturday morning with trying to rape a woman in the Bronx on Thursday, according to police.

Officials said it happened around 3:43 p.m. Thursday at a Walgreens on White Plains Road in Wakefield.

Investigators said Victor Augustus, 28, approached the victim as she was leaving the bathroom and pushed her back in.

Police said Augustus covered her mouth and tried to take off her pants, but an employee pulled him off the woman after hearing her scream for help.

Augustus faces charges that include attempted rape, assault, and harassment.
