No official cause yet, but neighbors say fireworks may be to blame for the fast-moving fire that tore through six buildings in the Bronx yesterday afternoon.

Flames broke out around 3:30 p.m. Thursday at a home on Olmstead Avenue in Unionport.

Residents claim they saw fireworks near the scene just before, but fire marshals have not confirmed the cause.

Two of the buildings were destroyed.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital in serious condition, but is expected to recover.

Seven other firefighters and one civilian suffered minor injuries.
