The NYPD released more details on the brutal attack of a 15-year old girl in the Bronx.

Police say they're still searching for the man they say attacked the teen around 2 a.m. Monday in Shoelace Park near the corner of Bronx Boulevard and East 213th Street in Wlliamsbridge.

They say the man seen above tried to sexually assault her. When she fought back, he allegedly beat her.

Investigators say the girl met the man at the Gun Hill Road subway station and walked with him to the park before the incident.

"She was not accosted from the street or dragged in. She went with him to that park, at which time he attempted a sexual assault, She fought back, and that's when she was struck repeatedly by him. So that's where we are with the case right now," said NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce. "That picture that we put out, with the hooded male, that is our perpetrator. She identified him as that perpetrator."

The girl flagged down someone for help and was taken to the hospital.

Police say she suffered a broken jaw in the attack.
