The NYPD is investigating after they say a 15-year-old girl was assaulted after getting off the subway in the Bronx early Monday morning.

According to police, a man followed the 15-year-old after she got off the 2 train at Gun Hill Road around 2 a.m. and grabbed her off the street.

Police say he took her to a wooded area near Bronx Boulevard and the Bronx River Parkway and assaulted her.

According to police, the girl has bruises and is missing teeth.

Police say she was traveling from Staten Island.

The NYPD has not released a description of the suspect. The incident is under investigation.
