Local lawmakers want to honor a city veteran and famed Tuskegee Airman by renaming a Bronx post office in his honor.

Legislation was introduced in Congress to name the Morris Heights Post Office on Jerome Ave the Dr. Roscoe C. Brown Jr. Post Office Building.

The longtime New Yorker was part of the first African-American group to serve in the Air Force during World War II.

Brown was later awarded the Congressional Gold Medal for his service.

The 94-year-old died in July.

The bill is supported by Reps. José Serrano, Eliot Engel and Charles Rangel.
