A man was arrested Monday after police say he assaulted two officers on Saturday night.

Police say the officers responded to a family dispute at an apartment on Decatur Avenue near East Gun Hill Road in The Bronx around 6:40 p.m.

When they arrived, 26-year-old Antonio Dos Santos allegedly ripped the shield off a 27-year-old female officer's uniforms.

They say Dos Santos tossed another officer down the stairs.

Police say Dos Santos was heavily intoxicated during the assault.

"He's in jail right now, he was arrested by patrol officers," said NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce. "One officer did break his leg. Another officer, her shield was ripped from her. He is arrested and he's being charged now. He's on bail."

Bail for Dos Santos was set at $150,000.
