The man wanted for a string of robberies involving older women in the Bronx has been arrested.

Police say 26-year-old Gilrael Ruperto turned himself in to police Monday night.

Ruperto has been charged with robbery causing physical injury.

He was linked to three incidents.

In the most recent one last week, investigators say he followed a 72-year-old woman into her apartment building on East 137th Street, sprayed her with an unknown substance and threw her to the ground.
