Police are asking for the public's help finding a group of men wanted in connection with a violent attempted robbery of a 60-year-old woman in the Bronx.

The attack was caught on surveillance video.

Investigators say the victim was walking near Westchester and Prospect avenues just before 3 a.m. Saturday when the men approached her from behind.

One of them allegdly put her in a chokehold and tried to take her purse, but the woman was able to break away.

When she tried to run, police say one of the men chased her and kicked her in the leg. She fell to the ground and broke her wrist.

The men ran off empty-handed.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where she was treated and released.
