An MTA bus driver and passenger were arrested after they allegedly began fighting on a bus in the Bronx.

Officials say it started in Van Nest on a shuttle bus that was replacing 2 train service.

MTA officials say shortly after 2:30 a.m., 48-year-old Gregory Maloney allegedly approached the driver, 32-year-old Raymond Wilkerson, and complained the air conditioning wasn't on.

The bus driver says Maloney then allegedly headbutted and spat on him.

By the end of it, both men were facing assault charges.

The driver, Wilkerson, was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The MTA says it is still investigating the incident.
