A 7-year-old girl is in critical condition after she was the victim of a hit-and-run in the Bronx.
Police are searching for the driver of the vehicle.
It happened around 10 p.m. Sunday on East 214th Street in Williamsbrige.
Police say the girl was crossing the street when she was hit by a red Jeep Wrangler with front end damage.
The woman driving didn't stop.
One witness we spoke with says the incident has her concerned for the safety of her own kids.
"I'm very, very protective. And to see that happen and the person took off, that's what really gets to you," the witness said.
The girl has two broken legs, a broken hip and a broken pelvis.
