The NYPD's asking for help finding a man they say hit a 12-year-old boy with his car in the Bronx.

Investigators say it happened around 5:15 p.m. on May 16 in Throggs Neck. 

They say the driver of this gray Mazda CX-9 struck the 12-year-old on Logan Avenue. 

Police say he got out of the car to check on the victim, but didn't report the incident. 

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. 

He's currently in stable condition.
