The man accused of stabbing a 20-year-old to death over a pair of sneakers was arraigned Friday.
Michael Crocker, 56, faces murder, manslaughter and weapons charges.
Police say he stabbed Malcolm Jacob in the chest inside a building on Merriam Avenue in Highbridge late Tuesday night.
Police say they believe Jacob accused Crocker of stealing his sneakers.
Crocker is due back in court Wednesday.
