A Horace Mann student is headed to the White House, thanks to an invention that helps stop Alzheimer's patients from wandering.

Kenneth Shinozuka, 16, will present his creation to the president on Monday, during the fifth White House Science Fair.

The sensor-activated device is equipped to apply pressure to a patient's foot when he or she stands up. It can also send an alert to a registered caregiver's smartphone.

The Upper West side resident came up with the idea while caring for his grandfather, who suffers from the disease.

Shinozuka was awarded the Science in Action Award at the 2014 Google Science Fair, securing his place at the White House competition.
