Two people are dead, including a 5-year-old girl, after a cab jumped a curb in the Bronx.

The green borough taxi crashed near 170th Street and Grand Concourse in Mount Eden around 6:30 p.m.

A 5-year-old girl and a 25-year-old man were taken to Lincoln Hospital, where they died.

The mother of the child and a 55-year-old man were also hurt, but are expected to recover.

A woman who drove a car involved in the crash told NY1 that the green cab struck her car before it jumped the curb at 170th Street and hit three pedestrians.

The woman said she had her 1-week-old nephew and a 2-year-old child inside her car when she was struck.

She said she was grateful that they are alive.

"I was just right about to sit on my seat, and I heard a bump. I did not see him coming," she said. "I saw him going down very fast. He went into the corner in the right and then came back and hit the building. And I had my nephew, which is only one week old. We were just coming from a checkup with him. I had another, 2 years old, in the car with me with my sister-in-law. I was just lucky, and I thank God for just being alive."

Other witnesses said they heard screams and saw emergency workers frantically working.

"I saw him coming down very fast. He went into the corner on the right then came back and hit the building. It was pretty bad and I'm very sad someone lost his life in it," one witness said.

"Yeah, they came down, they was giving him the air through the little bag. I guess he couldn't breathe. I don't know if he could breathe. On this side, they was pressing on her chest, a little girl. I'm guessing also that she couldn't breathe. I wasn't sure," said one witness. "But the guy that was laying here on the floor, they wasn't giving him any treatment. I guess he was already gone."

No charges have been filed.

It's unclear what caused the accident.
