A 20-year-old was found stabbed to death in the Bronx Tuesday, allegedly over a pair of sneakers, and now, police are looking for his mother's boyfriend.

Investigators released the photo seen at left of 56-year-old Michael Crocker.

They say Crocker stabbed Malcolm Jacob in the chest inside a building on Merriam Avenue in Highbridge late Tuesday night.

Investigators believe Jacob accused Crocker of stealing his sneakers before he was stabbed.

Neighbors said they've previously overheard fighting and screaming coming from the family's apartment.

"She have a boyfriend, an older guy, and problems between them two, from what I know," one neighbor said. "That's how I call the cops. She begged me. She grabbed me. I was coming up, and the little girl was between them. They was fighting, and she grabbed me, and tell me, 'For my daughter's life, please call the cops.'"

Crocker is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing 185 pounds.
