The New York City Football Club won its first-ever home opener Sunday at Yankee Stadium.

Forward David Villa scored the team's first goal in the Bronx at the 19 minute mark of the first half.

NYCFC went on to shut out the New England Revolution 2-0.

The club now has a win and a tie in its first two matches.

Its next game is Saturday in Colorado.

The next home game is March 28th against Kansas City.
