A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in a dog abuse case.

Last month, the NYPD found "Fraggle," a 3-year-old male pitbull mix, inside a suitcase in the south Bronx.

The ASPCA says the dog was found in a life-threatening condition and was suffering from extreme malnutrition.

The group says it's been treating Fraggle and that he's now showing signs of recovery.

They say he's eating on his own and walking short distances.

The ASPCA is offering a $20,000 reward in the case in addition to the $2,000 being offered by the NYPD.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Crimestoppers by calling 1-800-577-TIPS, by texting TIP577 to CRIMES, or by going to NYPDCrimeStoppers.com.
