Workers at Hunts Point Market voted Wednesday to officially approve a new contract.

97 percent of the members of Teamsters Local 202 were in favor of the three-year deal.

Under the terms, the market's 1,300 workers will receive a raise each year of the pact.

The union had threatened to strike before a tentative deal was reached Saturday.

Hunts Point Market provides fresh produce to many stores and restaurants throughout the New York area.
