Police are investigating a stabbing in an apartment building in the Bronx that left one person dead and another injured.

Officers say they responded to a report of a dispute in the lobby of a Bronxdale building just before 5 p.m. Thursday.

They found a 34-year-old man slashed in the neck who was later pronounced dead at Jacobi hospital.

The second person, a 22-year-old male, was taken to Montefiore Medical Center for treatment under police custody. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Residents say there was another stabbing in the building last year.

"Very concerned," said one resident. "It's sad to see that we live in a world with so much hate and violence, and we all mostly the same people, so it's like, why can't we get along?"

It's unclear if the two men stabbed each other or if there was a third person involved.

So far, police are not saying if they're looking for more suspects.
