The Schneiderman scandal, and the process of picking a replacement AG, is the primary focus of the state legislature right now. But there are other issues that need to be sorted out before the end of the session in June. And as we get closer to that deadline, there is a good chance that seemingly unrelated issues get tied together in what is known as a big ugly. That often includes a mix of downstate issues and upstate issues so everyone is getting something they want. For New York City officials, a top priority is getting renewed approval for speed cameras. It is part of Mayor Bill de Blasio's "Vision Zero" program to reduce pedestrian deaths. The city's Department of Transportation commissioner, Polly Trottenberg, joins us to discuss.
