This week, Zagat editor Billy Lyons profiles Nibble + Squeak, a dining club that caters to parents with toddlers. He filed this report.

Nibble + Squeak is a members only dining club that caters to parents with toddlers. The company works with a selection of fine dining restaurants to provide a set time a group of parents can enjoy a meal with their children, typically in a private dining room or when the restaurant is closed to the public

"It was the fear of having a bad restaurant experience. It really is about the other patrons and the stress of making sure that you're not disturbing other people in the restaurant" noted founder Melissa Elders.

The experience is designed to help toddlers and parents feel at ease in a restaurant as well as introduce children to different foods. The club also allows parents to try restaurants they might not necessarily visit at night due to challenges like bed time and finding a baby sitter.

"Part of that eating experience is not just in your home its also outside of your home. I really want him to experience that and know how you behave in a restaurant" noted member Ranjana Armstrong. "I'm excited to having a good meal, a nice glass of wine, and him being entertained too" noted Armstrong.

"Because my husband and I really enjoy dining out and trying all the new restaurants, we want him to be part of that. We don't want the fact we have a baby to hinder that experience" noted member Michelle Betrock.

The dining club is also focused on families finding an easy place to eat while traveling, and also plans to host meals in additional cities later this year. Those interested can learn more about Nibble + Squeak by visiting the club's web site at nibbleandsqueak.com.
