Saturday began on a sunny note in The Big Apple, but, clouds increased later in the day and a few flurries moved through the five boroughs. In addition, afternoon temperatures were unable to get out of the 30s, making it the fifth straight day in which afternoon highs were below-normal.

We will likely see more sunshine on Sunday, however, with a storm system to our south, we could see a good amount of clouds mix in during the afternoon and evening hours. The unseasonably cold air will remain in place as well, as temperatures struggle to get out of the 30s.

Looking ahead, partly to mostly sunny skies will be in place Monday through Thursday, but, temperatures are expected to remain below-normal. Afternoon highs will only be in the upper 30s and low 40s. Our next storm system makes its way into the region Friday morning, and some moderate-to-heavy rain is possible during the afternoon and evening hours. Winds will increase as well. Temperatures will rise into the upper 40s.
