Saturday began on a sunny note in The Big Apple, but, clouds increased later in the day as a storm system approached the region. In addition, afternoon temperatures were unable to get out of the 40s, making it the fifth straight day in which afternoon highs were below-normal.

Our streak of below-normal temperatures will likely come to an end on Sunday, however, we will have some wet weather to deal with. A steady rain is likely throughout the morning hours, and we'll have on-and-off showers during the afternoon and evening hours. Areas of fog are likely as well. Temperatures will rise into the upper 50s.

Looking ahead, brighter and drier conditions will be found on Monday, along with an afternoon high of 55 degrees. We'll stay on the sunny side through Thursday, but, conditions will turn colder. Temperatures will drop into the upper 30s and low 40s. Look for a chance of light snow on Friday.
