The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning that goes into effect from midnight tonight until 9am tomorrow morning.

Freezing temperatures and a wintry mix are on the way. Don’t forget to bundle up before stepping outside. Highs will likely reach 39 degrees under mostly sunny skies this afternoon.

Temperatures are expected to dip below freezing for the first time this season with increasing clouds tonight. It will be a cold day tomorrow with a wintry mix developing in the afternoon before transitioning to all rain. The storm is expected to taper off by Friday morning with highs returning to the 40s by the afternoon. Little accumulation is expected with icy spots and possible flooding across the boroughs.

Finally, temperatures are slated to remain unseasonably cold for the rest of the week with highs in the 40s and overnight temperatures falling below freezing at times. More rain is expected to arrive next Monday.
