A high pressure system over the area gave the Big Apple bright sunshine and light winds on Veteran's Day, but, conditions remained quite cold as afternoon temperatures were unable to get out of the 40s. It was the first time since April 19th that highs only reached the 40s.

Monday is looking sunny once again, but, temperatures will remain below-normal. Highs will be around 50 degrees.

Looking ahead, expect our next storm system to make its way into the region Monday night. Some moderate-to-heavy rain is likely Tuesday morning, and windy conditions are possible later in the day. Temperatures will remain in the low 50s. Skies then clear-out for Wednesday, but, it will turn colder as temperatures drop back into the 40s. Look for another chance of rain on Thursday and Friday.
