Skies cleared-out over the five boroughs as a storm system exited the region, but, brisk winds and unseasonably cold air took its place. Wind gusts in excess of 35mph were seen across the area, and high temperatures were only in the 40s for first time since April 19th.

Sunday, Veteran's Day, is looking sunny and less windy, but, temperatures will remain below-normal. Afternoon highs are only expected to reach the mid 40s.

Looking ahead, the sunshine stays in place for Monday with an afternoon high of 50 degrees. Our next storm system makes its way into the region Monday night, and some moderate-to-heavy rain is possible throughout the day on Tuesday. Temperatures will rise into the mid 50s. Skies then clear-out for the second half of the week, but, we will be turning colder as temperatures drop back into the 40s.
