A cold front made its way through the area early Sunday morning and left some brisk winds behind. Wind gusts in excess of 30mph were seen across the five boroughs, and a few locations saw winds top 40mph. In addition, some unseasonably cold air settled into the region, and afternoon temperatures struggled to get out of the 40s.

Monday is looking brighter and less windy, and temperatures will increase into the mid 50s.

Expect the sunshine to stay in place throughout most of the week. It will remain quite cool however, with afternoon highs only reaching the low to mid 50s. Overnight lows will be on the chilly side as well. Look for our next storm system to make its way into the region next weekend.
