Today, temperatures are expected to become more seasonable following yesterday’s cold blast. There will be plenty of sunshine with a high of 62 degrees. However, breezy conditions will make it feel like the upper 50s.

Sunshine will give way to increasing clouds tonight giving way to a few late night showers. Lows are expected to fall into the low 50s. There could be a few more showers in store tomorrow with highs topping out at 63 degrees. The fall chill makes a comeback on Sunday along with sunshine. Highs are slated to top out at 49 degrees with lows in the upper 30s. Finally, dry weather is expected to last through Thursday with temperatures topping out into the 50s.

Will it be clear enough to see the Orionid Meteor Showers this weekend?

Debris from Halley's Comet may are slated to spark Orionid Meteor showers this weekend. It's the first meteor shower for the fall. The peak moments will happen Sunday night into early Monday morning. You may also be able to see some showers tomorrow night into Saturday morning with weather permitting. Keep in mind that showers and clouds may prevent optimal view. Also, the moon will be almost full making it challenging to see some of the action. Expect 20-25 meteor showers per hour.

Viewing tips:

-No equipment needed

-Pick a dark spot away from city lights

-Allow about 10 minutes or so for your eyes to adjust to darkness

-Best viewing times are between midnight and dawn (you should also be able to see a few showers just after nightfall)

If you happen to miss the Orionid Meteor showers this weekend, you'll have another shot next month. The Northern Taurids arrive on November 11th followed by the Leonids on November 17th. Happy viewing!!!!
