Don’t leave home without the umbrella and rain boots today. Even though the center of Tropical Storm Michael will remain offshore, effects will be felt across the boroughs. Heavy downpours could lead to flooding later in the day with a high of 77 degrees.

You won’t need a jacket during the day, but you will need it tonight as temperatures fall into the upper 50s tonight. The storm will taper off during the overnight. But, we can’t rule out a few left over showers early tomorrow morning along with anywhere from 1-4 inches of rain possible following the storm. Expect increasing sunshine and gusty breezes with a high of 63 degrees tomorrow.

The temperature drop will continue over the weekend with highs struggling to reach 60 degrees. Overnight temperatures will likely bottom out in the 40s and 50s Saturday and Sunday respectively. Expect more showers Monday and Tuesday.
