A high pressure system over the area gave the Big Apple intervals of sun and clouds on Saturday, and it was another seasonably warm day as temperatures flirted with the 80-degree mark. In addition, the dry weather put an end to a 9-day streak of measurable rainfall.

Sunday is expected to be seasonably warm once again, and we will likely see a mix of sun and clouds again as well. Temperatures will hover around 80 degrees.

Looking ahead, you can expect the remnants of Hurricane Florence to make their way into the area early next week. We should remain dry on Monday, but, some moderate-to-heavy rain is possible on Tuesday. Temperatures will be in the mid-to-upper 70s. Expect brighter and drier conditions Wednesday through Friday.
