Saturday began on a gray note in the Big Apple, but, skies did brighten later in the day and temperatures warmed into the upper 70s. A stationary front was nearby, but, all wet weather stayed to the south of the five boroughs.

Sunday is expected to be seasonably warm once again, but, it will feel a bit muggier, and some areas could see a light shower move through. Temperatures will be around 80 degrees.

Looking ahead, expect the Summer heat to return on Labor Day and stay in place through next Thursday. Temperatures will make their way into the upper 80s and low 90s, and humidity levels will increase as well. A shower or storm could move through and provide some temporary relief, but, we won't see a real break in the heat until next Friday.
