The Big Apple saw an increase in heat and humidity on Sunday, and temperatures topped the 80-degree mark for the twelfth time this month. There were a lot of clouds out there during the morning and afternoon hours, and a few raindrops did fall in some locations, but, most of the area remained on the dry side.

More sunshine is in store for Monday, but, it will be noticeably less humid, and temperatures will drop back to more seasonable levels. Look for afternoon highs around 80 degrees.

Looking ahead, partly to mostly sunny skies and low humidity will be in place for Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will be in the upper 70s and low 80s. Our next storm system makes its way into the region on Thursday, and a few showers and storms are possible throughout the day. Look for temperatures in the mid 80s. Hotter and more humid conditions are in store for the weekend.
