It was a wet start to the start with rain giving way to sunshine this afternoon. Highs are expected to rise into the low 80s. Skies will remain clear with temperatures bottoming out at 61 degrees tonight.

The warm up will continue for the rest of the week with highs well into the 80s. But, it won't be as warm for the second half of the holiday weekend. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Sunday with a few showers possible on Memorial Day.

Speaking of Memorial Day, last year the mercury reached 61 degrees and .13 inches of rain was reported at Central Park. The last time temperatures topped out in the 60s on the holiday, prior to last year, was 2004. It looks like we'll struggke to reach 70 degrees this year.
