A frontal system over the area gave the five boroughs another gray and damp day on Sunday, and temperatures remained at unseasonably cool levels for the second straight day.

We'll get a break from the wet weather on Monday, and we may even see a few peeks of sun as well. In addition, it will be noticeably milder as temperatures return to more seasonable levels.

Looking ahead, the threat of wet weather returns on Tuesday and stays in place for the remainder of the week. We are not talking about a full-week wash-out, but, there is a chance of a shower or storm each day of the week. Temperatures will be seasonably warm for most of the week, but, we could see a slight cool-down on Friday.
