A low-pressure system over the area gave the five boroughs a gray and damp day on Saturday, and conditions were unseasonably cool as temperatures were nearly 10 degrees below-normal.

Mother's Day is expected to be gray and cool once again, and the chance of showers will remain. However, it is possible that all the wet weather could stay to our south, and we will just have the clouds to deal with. There is also a slight chance that we could see a peek of sun towards evening.

Looking ahead, expect threat of wet weather to remain in place through the upcoming week. No all-day rain events are expected, but, we will see a shower or storm from time-to-time. In addition, we will warm up quite a bit, as temperatures make their way into the 70s and 80s.
