A high pressure system over the area gave the five boroughs more sunny and dry weather on Sunday, and temperatures were at seasonably mild levels for the second straight day. In addition, the winds were noticeably lighter than they were on Saturday.

More sunshine and seasonably mild temperatures are in store for Monday, and the winds will remain on the light side.

Looking ahead, temperatures are expected to remain at seasonable levels throughout the week. Afternoon highs will be in the 50s and 60s. Conditions are expected to stay on the dry side through Tuesday morning, but, the umbrellas could be needed later in the day. Some heavier rain is possible on Wednesday.
