The Big Apple saw more sunshine and Summer-like conditions on Saturday, and temperatures were at above-normal levels for the third straight day.

Sunday will be a completely different story however, as a storm system ushers in some unseasonably cold air, brisk winds, and raindrops. Clouds are expected to overspread the area by the early-morning hours, and occasional showers will be seen throughout the day. The winds will increase as well, and areas of fog are possible. Temperatures are not expected to get out of the 40s.

Looking ahead, after our brief cool-down on Sunday, temperatures will return to more seasonable levels next week. Afternoon highs will make their way into the upper 50s and low 60s. Some heavy rain and possibly a few thunderstorms are likely on Monday, but, Tuesday and Wednesday are looking much drier.
