Easter Sunday began on a gray note in the Big Apple, but, we managed to get a few peeks of sun later in the day. In addition, temperatures were at seasonably mild levels for the fourth straight day. Before this streak of mild temperatures, Central Park saw a string of 22 days where afternoon highs were below-normal.

Unfortunately, our streak of above-average temperatures is expected to come to an end on Monday as Old Man Winter briefly returns to the five boroughs. Some snow or a wintry mix is likely during the morning hours, and afternoon highs are only expected to be in the 40s. The storm shouldn't be too much of an inconvenience though, as only about an inch of snow is expected, and accumulations will primarily be found on grassy areas, cars, and rooftops. With temperatures in the 50s and 60s the past few days, streets and sidewalks will be too warm for any significant accumulation.

Looking ahead, we'll stay under the clouds for Tuesday and Wednesday as another pair of storm systems move through. Temperatures will increase into the 50s and 60s however, so, the precipitation will be all rain. Some cooler air then settles in for the second half of the week, and temperatures drop back into the 40s.
