A high pressure system off to our south gave the five boroughs sunny and dry weather on Saturday, and temperatures remained at seasonably mild levels for the third straight day. Before this streak of mild temperatures, Central Park saw a string of 22 days where afternoon highs were below-normal.

Easter Sunday is expected to remain on the mild side, but, we will see lots of clouds during the morning hours, and a light shower may develop in some locations. The afternoon is looking brighter however.

Looking ahead, a trio of storm systems are expected to move through the area during the first half of the upcoming week. Most of the precipitation will be rain, but, there will likely be enough cold air in place on Monday to get some snow. Snow totals should remain on the low side however, and accumulations will be found largely on grassy areas, cars, and rooftops. Temperatures are not expected to get out of the 40s on Monday, but, Tuesday and Wednesday should be milder.
