A high pressure system off to our northwest gave the five boroughs sunny and dry weather on Sunday, but, it was quite chilly as afternoon temperatures remained at seasonably cold levels for the tenth straight day.

Monday will be a totally different story though, as yet another nor'easter is expected to approach the region. A few peeks of sun are possible in the morning, but, clouds are expected to increase during the afternoon, and we could see some light snow or rain develop towards evening. Look for any precipitation to change over to snow Monday night, and persist through the morning hours on Tuesday. About 1 to 4 inches of snow is expected across the five boroughs, and wind gusts in excess of 30mph are possible. A few lingering snow showers are possible on Wednesday, but, little, if any, additional accumulation is expected.

The second half of the week looks brighter and drier, with temperatures remaining in the 40s.
