Governor Andrew Cuomo urged New Yorkers to be careful if heading outside Sunday.

Despite the travel ban being lifted this morning, the governor is advising against unnecessary travel.

He says cars are still getting stuck on highways and warns of dangerous black ice.

Metro North is expected to resume service in and out of the city this afternoon.

All Port Authority bridges and tunnels have re-opened.

Long Island Rail Road service remains suspended.

Despite the travel difficulties Governor Cuomo praised New Yorkers for pushing through the storm.

"It was also heartwarming to see yesterday, how New Yorkers were there and rallied one for the other," the Governor said at a press briefing Sunday morning. "I can't tell you how many circumstances I came across where people were out shoveling other people's driveways and walk ways, people were out pushing cars, people were helping people across the street. It was just great to see how New Yorkers come together in a beautiful spirit of community."

Officials say there have been at least three snow shoveling related deaths in the city.
