It may soon be a hassle to bring your laptop or tablet back from a trip abroad.

American and European officials have been meeting to discuss expanding a ban on the use of electronics larger than a cell phone.

People traveling from Europe to the U.S. would have to put their tablets, laptops, and other large electronics in their checked luggage.

Restrictions are already in place on about 50 flights a day from 10 cities, mostly in the Middle East.

An expanded ban could affect more than 400 flights each day between Europe and North America.
